June Wedding Photographer

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

Due to a week of vacation, my blogging is a little behind (as is everything else…lol) I figured instead of waiting until everything is ready to be posted….I’d just do a little at a time. Eventually I’ll get caught up,  right? :) These are from Amanda’s  wedding in the beginning of June… :) Working with Amanda and Jeremy was great…I had a blast!!

Prom!!

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Well, it’s prom season, again! My sister had her’s and I thought that I’d be fun to shoot her getting ready. All I have to say is “when did she grow up?”  I really am proud of the woman she is becoming! :)

CT PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

My application was accepted! I am formally a member of the CT PPA!  Whats that mean for you?

Well being a member of the CT PPA will:

• Help improve my photographic skills

• Help improve my business skills

• Networking with fellow photographers

I’m already been a member of the Professional Photographers of America, which is the national association. Now I have even more support on the local level. I’m so excited about this, because staying up-to-date in this industry takes effort. I’m always learning, and changing,  thats the way I want it. I don’t ever want to say that I know everything…then I will no longer be evolving. It’s really just another way for me to improve my craft, which will benefit my clients!!

Also, if you have been keeping up with our Facebook fan page….you know that there are some changes coming!! I will be launching a lot of new stuff over the next week or so….I’m so excited, and can’t wait to show it all to you!! So keep an eye out…it’s gonna be awesome! :)

Connecticut Baby Portraits

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

On Location portraits don’t have to be really formal. “Mini-sessions” are really great for documenting little things (but big milestones) like lost teeth and first steps, in between the normal portrait sittings.

A Ghost Town….Rhyolite, Nevada

Friday, February 26th, 2010

This past September I was lucky enough to attend a wedding seminar in Las Vegas.  We took a little down time….and went to visit one of Nevada’s biggest ghost towns.  It was founded in 1904 and the last resident died in 1924. The buildings are original…and I loved the house built with 30,000  bottles (some medicine, but mostly beer bottles thrown away from the saloon) in 1906. It took only 5 1/2 months to build! I loved looking up the history on the old town….and ran into this site which gives you a tour and some old pictures from back in the day…. So I won’t bore you with the details…for those who care can check it out here…  http://www.rhyolitesite.com/index.html

Anyway, here are just a few of my favorites:

The Best In Wedding Photography&Entertainment!

The Best In Wedding Photography&Entertainment!

Lyrical Lens Photography has been looking for a way to provide you with more than just artistic, creative, unique imagery of  your one of a kind day. We wanted to be able to help our clients with the biggest decisions that come with the planning of their wedding. To us, the first big decision is the photography….we got that covered. Unique, creative, with an artistic flare. (Not sure about that? Check out our new slide show!)

But, what is the next big decision to be made for a fantastic, unique event? The entertainment! We wanted to find a company that, shared the same goals as we do. To give the couple everything they dreamed of on their day. We wanted to find a company with a great personality, and is considerate enough to know where the bride is BEFORE they announce the  cake-cutting!  We wanted to find a company that was more than just  music. As far as we’re concerned, anyone can go into a room;  hook up some speakers, and play a list of songs. We wanted a company could keep the dance floor alive. Which, of course makes our job a lot easier! (If no one is on the dance floor, it is a lot harder to give you great reception images!)

DK Productions Entertainment, fits our criteria perfectly! They know how to make your event truly yours. So now you get the same unique, artistic imagery that Lyrical Lens has come to be known for,  plus now you can have great entertainment-all at the same time! Same consultation  time, same final planning time, anything we can do to help make planning your day a little less stressful! Contact us for special package information today!

PS-find us after you’ve already booked your entertainment? That’s okay! We are still taking on our own new clients as well! Contact us for info today!

AND Stay tuned for our bridal show schedule….because we’d love to meet you!
