It’s taken a little time to get it right, but our new site is up and running….and our old site is now gone! I’m so excited for this transition.

We also have another bit of news…Lyrical Lens Photography now has a retail space!! It is Located on Rt. 10 in Plainville.  It’s a small space, but is perfect for now. As soon as we get closer to getting everything set-up and ready to go I will post some pics. I’m looking forward to our Grand Opening!!

And…We had a great time this weekend shooting Amanda and Jeremy’s wedding on the 5th!

Well, it’s prom season, again! My sister had her’s and I thought that I’d be fun to shoot her getting ready. All I have to say is “when did she grow up?”  I really am proud of the woman she is becoming!

My application was accepted! I am formally a member of the CT PPA!  Whats that mean for you?

Well being a member of the CT PPA will:

• Help improve my photographic skills

• Help improve my business skills

• Networking with fellow photographers

I’m already been a member of the Professional Photographers of America, which is the national association. Now I have even more support on the local level. I’m so excited about this, because staying up-to-date in this industry takes effort. I’m always learning, and changing,  thats the way I want it. I don’t ever want to say that I know everything…then I will no longer be evolving. It’s really just another way for me to improve my craft, which will benefit my clients!!

Also, if you have been keeping up with our Facebook fan page….you know that there are some changes coming!! I will be launching a lot of new stuff over the next week or so….I’m so excited, and can’t wait to show it all to you!! So keep an eye out…it’s gonna be awesome!

On Location portraits don’t have to be really formal. “Mini-sessions” are really great for documenting little things (but big milestones) like lost teeth and first steps, in between the normal portrait sittings.

On Location

This past September I was lucky enough to attend a wedding seminar in Las Vegas.  We took a little down time….and went to visit one of Nevada’s biggest ghost towns.  It was founded in 1904 and the last resident died in 1924. The buildings are original…and I loved the house built with 30,000  bottles (some medicine, but mostly beer bottles thrown away from the saloon) in 1906. It took only 5 1/2 months to build! I loved looking up the history on the old town….and ran into this site which gives you a tour and some old pictures from back in the day…. We had a great time with Amanda & Jeremy @ Lighthouse Park, in New Haven. They are such a great couple….and we can’t wait to shoot their wedding!!
